Francis Merson
I am a British-Australian clinical psychologist and the founder of
the Paris Psychology Centre. My training in psychology allows me to
treat a wide variety of problems, including a broad range of mental
disorders. My work draws both on my training as a clinical
psychologist and my own life experience, including many years of
living as an expat. I use a range of evidence-based treatments,
which have been scientifically validated to improve emotional
wellbeing and resilience. This means that you can be confident that
your time spent in therapy will be worthwhile.
The heart of my practice is Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the gold-standard treatment for the most
common psychological issues such as anxiety and depression. I also
have specialist training in other proven modalities such as
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and
mindfulness-based approaches.

I’m an American clinical psychologist based in Paris, where I
help people in the English-speaking community improve their mental
health. I am passionate about empowering my patients to achieve real
change – to lead happier, more balanced lives.
I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University
Seattle, am licensed as a psychologist in five states in the US and
am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychology Society.
I’ve worked in a number of mental health settings, including mental
health clinics, hospitals and private practice. I was an adjunct
faculty member in the Department of Health Sciences at DePaul
University in Chicago.
Caitlin Dawes
I'm an Australian clinical neuropsychologist and therapist
living in Paris. I have worked in a wide range of settings,
including hospitals and research clinics, as well as private
practice. These experiences have given me a broad set of skills to
treat a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression and
stress, as well as neurocognitive disorders such as ADHD.
In my work as a therapist, I like to create
a friendly, down-to-earth and collaborative space. My aims are to
make people feel truly heard and understood, and to deliver therapy
that makes a genuine difference in their lives. I primarily engage
in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and integrate Acceptance and
Commitment (ACT) therapy and mindfulness-based techniques. I am also
trained in Schema Therapy, which can be useful for getting people
unstuck from negative patterns originating in childhood. I have a
Masters in Clinical Neuropsychology from Macquarie University in
Sydney, where I received the Vice-Chancellor’s Commendation for
Academic Excellence. |
