Originally from Norway,
I have lived in various European cities before settling in
Paris in 2021. I hold a BA in Psychology and an MA in
Clinical & Health Psychology, which I obtained in 2019.
I completed my studies in English, and I am fully bilingual.
My experience with adapting to new cultures has allowed me
to be particularly sensitive to the sometimes stressful,
often enriching, situations that arise as an expat, and can
help you navigate these issues on an emotional level.
Study after study show that the most ‘potent’ factor of
psychotherapy is a solid therapeutic bond between therapist
and client, and as a therapist I strive to provide a fully
open, warm, and non-judgmental environment for us to work
in, together.
My approach to therapy
is integrative in the sense that I always seek to find out
what works for you and your particular situation. My methods
are mostly driven from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
which is particularly efficient for issues related to
anxiety and depression. Together we will work out your
goals, use practical tools and re-evaluate maladaptive
patterns that prevent you from growth.
I am specialized in Clinical and Health Psychology, and
particularly processes of change that require inner
motivation. Examples of what I can help you with include
quitting smoking, controlling alcohol or drug consumption,
reducing screen time, weight loss, and all other change
processes which involve a concrete goal. The method I use is
scientifically founded, and used by medical doctors and
other health processionals.
I am available for in-person sessions in Paris on
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mornings. My office is
located on 6 rue Crespin du Gast in the 11th district.
The nearest metro stations are Rue Saint-Maur (line 3), and
Ménilmontant (line 2), as well as bus lines 20, 71, and 96.
