I can also develop other interventions on other topics upon request.

My specialties:
Addictions (chemical dependency and behavioral addictions), trauma and dissociation disorders (sexual, physical, verbal and emotional abuse), co-dependency, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, cultural adaptation.

My approach to therapy work:

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”  Carl Rogers

I consider therapy to be a learning space and a privileged environment to experience being ourselves and develop our skills to identify and understand our personal dynamics, therefore reaching a better knowledge of ourselves. This can help us move away from being a blind prisoner of some of our reactions, and be able to make active choices instead. In that perspective, the framework I work with is based on the person-centered approach as I strive to foster a therapeutic relationship that will enable my clients to gain acceptance of themselves so they can dive more and more enthusiastically into this learning process.

I base my practice on the question that Carl Rogers has expressed very clearly: “How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?”

I therefore strive to develop a collaborative working relationship with my clients based on empathy, authenticity and positive unconditional regard.

Together, we work on identifying and overcoming the obstacles that hinder their personal growth and prevent them from developing their full potential. We do so by using different tools coming from different approaches such as the strength-perspective, cognitive therapy, systemic work, psycho-education. We also enrich our work together by observing and understanding what is taking place within the therapeutic relationship, which provides us with a unique direct experience to learn from.
