Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that
uses art as part of the communication process. Creating a safe space
to explore difficult emotions.
I am an English-speaking Art Psychotherapist based in Paris. I
graduated with a Masters in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths,
University of London in 2018 and I have since worked with
adolescents and adults within the National Health Service (NHS)
mental health services both in inpatient and community services.
I am now working privately in Paris and offer both short and long
term, individual Art Psychotherapy sessions for adolescents and
adults.
Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative art making
as a tool for communication and expression in order to explore and
gain understanding of difficult emotions and/ or circumstances.
Through the therapy, you will be assisted in working with difficult
feelings and finding ways to overcome, or live with obstacles.
Art therapy is not an activity or art lesson and you do not need
previous experience or expertise in art making.
I work with a wide range of difficulties, disabilities or diagnoses.
These include emotional, behavioural or mental health problems,
learning or physical disabilities, life-limiting conditions,
neurological conditions and physical illnesses.
What you can achieve:
- Understand your feelings and behaviour
resulting from life experiences and trauma
- Raise self esteem
- Gain self-awareness and greater control
- Learn about your own thoughts and
feelings
- Express and communicate your feelings
and begin a process of healing
- Improve your relationships
- Identify specific needs for further
therapeutic work
- Enjoy the benefits and experiences that
can come from including artistic expression in your life
I work face to face either from my cabinet
in Paris 10th Arrondissement or online. I offer a sliding fee scale.
