My name is Bob McGowan, I am a therapist from Montreal, Canada, currently living in Paris, France. I am a registered social worker with the OTSTCFQ in Canada, and I am currently completing my clinical hours, education, and supervision to become a member of the OPQ as a registered psychotherapist in Canada. I worked extensively as a psychiatric social worker with a community psychiatric clinic and have extensive knowledge of mental health disorder treatment, as well as medical treatment limitations. I have my Master's of Social Work (MSW) from McGill University.

 In my practice, I integrate systemic theory, narrative-based approaches, EFT, IFS, DBT, the Gottman Method, and somatic teachings, rooted in trauma-informed care. I work with teenagers and adults, and I particularly love working with couples. I have a lot of experience working with queer and gender-diverse individuals/couples.

I am currently accepting new clients in France and in Europe in general. I will be working virtually for summer 2025, and I am hoping to find a shared office space in Paris soon.
