Hello, and thanks for checking out my profile. I’m an
integrative counsellor of British-Cypriot origin based in
the Western Pyrenees, near Pau. I offer face-to-face and
online sessions (and a mix of the two), providing a
welcoming, confidential space for people to explore how they
are, where they are and who they are. I practice in an open
way that is sensitive to the individual, but informed by my
understanding of human development, relationships and
trauma.
My style is natural, friendly and authentic, and I work
collaboratively with each client, bringing warmth,
receptiveness, curiosity and challenge. My role is to
support you in your own process, by listening, noticing,
asking questions and investigating with you, to help you
sense into where you are, make sense of what you find, and
try out new ways of seeing or being.
I work with adults (age 18 upwards) and I see clients once a
week, on an open-ended basis, with the option of regular
reviews. Sessions last 50 minutes. I mostly do longer-term
work (upwards of a year), but I am guided by whatever the
client brings – often what has been missing for those of us
who come to counselling is patient, dedicated attention,
without the pushing or rushing of everyday life; at other
times what is needed can be arrived at more quickly,
depending on how focused it is possible to be in the work.
I began practising in 2019 and hold a British Association of
Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)-accredited foundation
certificate (2015) and postgraduate diploma (2021) in
integrative counselling from the Minster Centre in London,
UK, one of Europe’s leading integrative counselling and
psychotherapy training institutes. I also have a PhD and
Master’s degree in Social Policy, and a Bachelor’s degree in
Modern European Languages. I am a registered member of the
BACP, and have full professional indemnity insurance.
Please feel free to check out my website for more
information.
