Joanna Benfield

Joanna Benfield is an Integrative Counsellor and Psychosexual Therapist. She has a Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Counselling (with distinction) and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Joanna is also trained in person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and brief solution-focused therapy. She is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and a General Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

Joanna is originally from London and she also speaks French and German, although therapy sessions are generally conducted in English. Prior to becoming a therapist, Joanna had a long career in international politics. She has worked for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), the British Council and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and has lived in France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
