Regardless of whether your problems are related to living abroad, or if Toulouse
is just the backdrop, talking to someone in your native language can be helpful
in overcoming your issues.
About Me
I have studied and worked in the therapeutic field for the past eight years.
Before relocating to France I worked for one of the leading mental health
providers in the UK. During my time with the organisation I was based at a
hospital, providing therapy to both inpatients and outpatients in group and
one-to-one settings. I have worked extensively with patients struggling with
depression, eating disorders and a range of anxiety disorders, including
obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety and work-related stress.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling &
Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in
Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a member of the Association Française
de Thérapie Comportementale et Cognitive (AFTCC).
About Therapy
The therapy model I specialise in is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Research has shown CBT to be effective at helping people with a range of issues.
CBT is based on the principle that a person's mood is affected by both their
behaviour and thinking patterns. By uncovering unhelpful thoughts and behaviours
these can be challenged using a variety of techniques and behavioural
experiments.
Below is a list of issues that therapy can help with:
|
|
• Anger management
• Anxiety and panic attacks
• Depression and low mood
• Drug and alcohol dependency

• Social Anxiety
• Work-related stress |
