I qualified as an Integrative Counsellor in
2003 and, since then, have been working with clients in different
settings to help support them to recognise their issues and what
choices are available to tackle them. Being an integrative
counsellor means that I use a number of different theories and
approaches to help you to recognise why you are feeling unhappy and
help to provide the tools and techniques to facilitate change for
the better.
I have been living in France since 2016 and appreciate the emotions
that can occur with being in a different country. The change in
culture, language, inability to communicate effectively and
potential loneliness can all lead to feelings of low self-esteem,
anxiety and stress. Talking to somebody in your own language can
help.
My areas of specialism include but are not restricted to:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Addiction – particularly alcohol and
drugs
- Bereavement and loss
- Stress
- Feelings of being generally stuck
- Relationship issues
The sessions are confidential and I abide by
the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and
Psychotherapy (BACP)
I offer an initial free session of 30 minutes to assess whether we
can work together.
