Client
Group
I work with older children, adolescents and adults. I offer individual,
couple or family therapy
Therapeutic Approach
My main approach is cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT);
this is widely accepted as an effective therapy and the treatment of
choice in the British National Health Service. I also use tools from
other therapeutic methods, such as systemic therapy, when this is
appropriate and particularly when working with couples and families.
Therapeutic work is highly individual and following careful assessment
will be developed according to the clients personal needs
Experience
I have worked in a large UK NHS hospital for eight years, in an
outpatient psychology service. I also have experience with inpatient
mental health care and providing assessment and therapy in GP practices
for mild to moderate difficulties. I have worked in older adult
psychology services and have been involved in the neuropsychological
testing process for dementia. I have taught on Postgraduate psychology
programmes at British Universities. I also ran workshops and groups in the NHS
for anxiety management, phobias and OCD.
